With the rapid increase of all kinds of sports architecture in the world, the optimize design is becoming one of the focused issue that face the challenges of material waste, high energy consumption, inflexible functions conversion and other problems. Extensive and rich materials create solid structure and pleasing appearance for sports architecture, they also become the key points to solve these problems. This paper explores the optimized design of sports architecture which abide by the concept of sustainable development, it can take advantage of BIM and other new methods to facilitate sports architecture more optimized and refined. This paper mainly analyze the optimized design of structures and surface, and consider the significance of material saving. This paper aims to put forward some suggestions that contribute to ensure the whole life cycle of sports architecture more healthful by the optimized design and material saving.
