A novel series of5-methyl-1-(p-nitrophenyl)-N'-[(aryl substituted)methylidene]-1H-1,2,3-triazole-4-carbohydrazone (4),was prepared from 5-methyl-1-(p-nitrophenyl)-1H-1,2,3-triazole-4-carbohydrazide (3) by reaction with appropriate aldehydes.The structures ofnew hydrazone derivatives(4) were characterized on the basis of IR, NMR, mass spectra1 data and elemental analysis. The newly synthesized compounds were assayed for their cytotoxicstudy and antioxidant activities.
