A series of 1, 4-dihydropyridine derivatives were p repared from three compounds condensation reaction of ethylacetoacetate, aromatic aldehyde and ammonium h ydroxide. A new series of compounds (2a-f) were pre pared from compounds (1a-f) via reaction with β -naphthayl amine using the condensation method. The synthesized compounds were confirmed by IR, 1 H NMR, 13 C-NMR and Elemental analyses. The synthesized compo unds (1e-f) and (2a-f) were also screened for antimicrobial pro perties.
