New series of bidentate ligand dithocarbamate of 2–Amino pyridine (2APDTC) have been synthesized by new synthetic methods as it’s sodium salt. In the reaction of Copper Chloride and Cobalt Chloride with 2APDTC the corresponding complexes were prepared. The complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, IR, 1H NMR, UV, ESR, Powder X-ray diffraction and TGA – DTA. These metal complexes show moderate and selective activity towards some of the test microorganisms.
