A mild and efficient synthesis of substituted dihydro-2-oxypyrroles has been developed for the one-pot, four-component condensation reaction of dialkylacetylene dicarboxylate, amines and formaldehyde using (S)-camphorsulfonic acid as the catalyst at room temperature.
