Ticagrelor is the first reversible P2Y12 receptor antagonist blocking adenine diphosphate (ADP) induced platelet aggregation with rapid onset and offset of effect [1] [2]. A new methodology for the synthesis of Ticagrelor and its novel intermediates which is useful for the commercial synthesize of Ticagrelor.
