Detection of vehicles plays an important role in the area of the modern intelligent traffic management. With the pattern recognition in the area of computer vision, an auto-recognition system in an online sensing platform is studied. In the online sensing platform, 3G wireless network, including GPS, GPRS (CDMA), Internet (Intranet), remote video monitor, and CANBUS networks are integrated. The remote video stream can be taken from the terminals and sent to the online sensing platform, then detected by the auto-recognition system.
