In vitro antibacterial activity of few novel 2-(heteroarylamino)-5-(aryl)-1,3,4-thiadiazoles
Abstract
Due to the growing number of outbreaks of infection in hospital and nurseries, it becomes essential to set up a sanitation program that indicates that the appropriate chemical agent was chosen for application in the most effective way. Validating the effectiveness of decontamination and disinfection is an important and often challenging task. 1,3,4-Thiadiazole nucleus exhibited remarkable pharmacological activities. Literature indicates that compounds having 1,3,4-Thiadiazole nucleus have wide range of pharmacological activities that include antibacterial, antifungal, antitubercular, antiviral, antileishmanial, anti-inflammatory, analgesic, CNS depressant, anticonvulsant, anticancer, antioxidant, antidiabetic, molluscicidal, antihypertensive, diuretic. The present review provides a broad view of the antimicrobial activity possessed by 2-(heteroaryl amino) -5-(aryl)-1, 3, 4-thiadiazoles.
