As compulsory courses, the ideological and politica l courses of instates of higher learning can streng then the moral integrity and political awareness. They are also th e main method of moral education in institutes of h igher learning. Ideological and political courses can improve the c omprehensive development of college students and en able college students to become eligible successors and constructors of socialism. Nowadays, well-rounded t alents are badly needed and social adaptation ability is an es sential factor in students’ competence in labor mar ket. Ideological and political courses, however, can pro vide students with right guidance and improve stude nts’ capability in social activity and the capacity to r esist setbacks. In this way, the students can bette r adapt to the society.
