Microwave Assisted Efficient Synthesis of Isoxazolo[5,4-b]Quinolines Derivatives

An efficient synthesis for the preparation of isoxazolo[5,4-b]quinolines derivatives was achieved by microwave assisted cyclization of different 2-chloroquinoline-3-carbaldehydes in the presence of NH2OH.HCl and NaOH. This method reduces the reaction times and the products were obtained in good to moderate yields.
